Education is one of the most important tools in a person’s life. Education improves one’s knowledge skills and develops a personality and attitude. The chances for better employment also increases with education. We at LIGHT in LIFE would like to make our sincere contribution in the field of education to the deserving and the needy children.
Through this project, we have extended educational financial assistance to the poor children from remote tribal areas with no access to schools. This project covers remote areas in seven northeastern states of India – Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland and Tripura.
a. Sponsorship @CHF 300 per child/year
This project is aimed at reaching out to children living in remote areas and having no transport facilities to go to school. This includes textbooks, notebooks, uniforms, food and stay. This year, we look forward to supporting 110 children from the kindergarten level.

b. Sponsorship @CHF 150 per child/year
This includes textbooks, notebooks and uniforms (stay not included). This year we intend to support 100 children from the kindergarten level.
Total Project Cost: CHF 15’000
Once commenced, LIGHT in LIFE is committed to support these children for five years. We would be happy if a child is sponsored for the full five-year term, else partial sponsorship is also welcome. If partial sponsorship is taken, LIGHT in LIFE will sponsor the remaining years. LIGHT in LIFE sincerely hopes that we can support these children until they complete their higher secondary education.
