As part of its ongoing support to charity-based activities from ‘Light in Life’, there has been steady progress in the school constructions, the fourth of its kind in India. Located in the backward areas of Lengpui region in the northeastern state of Mizoram, the construction of this school building commenced with the laying of the foundation stone by Rev. Dr. Sabu Francis, the Provincial of MSFS, Guwahati, on 12 November, in a modest gathering involving local representatives following Covid-19 protocols. With an aim to benefit around 200 unprivileged kids in the first year itself, the construction of the school is targeted to be completed within 18 months. Light in Life has already handed over its first contribution of ₹40 lakh (CHF 50000) to achieve this ambitious goal.
