The Indian President, Mr Ram Nath Kovind, visited Switzerland. During his visit, he spoke to students and invited guests in the assembly hall of the University of Berne about the special relationship of Switzerland with India. In honour of Mahatma Gandhi, Shri Ram Nath Kovind and University Rector Christan Leumann planted a magnolia tree on the university ground.
In the evening, the Indian Embassy organised a festive reception at the Hotel Bellevue Palace in Berne. Mr Abraham Mathew, General Secretary of LIGHT in LIFE attended the function.
