With over four hundred dead, ten thousands of kilometres of roads and bridges destroyed and over sixty-five thousand houses damaged, this has been one of the most tragic natural disasters. The damage is estimated at several million Swiss francs.
As soon as the catastrophe became known, we started a fundraising campaign. In the first phase, LIGHT in LIFE donated INR 1.5 million (converted CHF 21’425) directly to local organisations in Kerala as immediate aid for the urgently needed relief supplies.
